The Civic Development Corporation (CDC) of Ashtabula County provided in 2015 a grant for 8X8-foot barn quilts on covered bridges and heritage barns.

A track hoe had to be placed in Mill Creek in order to raise a barn quilt on the South Denmark Road covered bridge.
